The house

It began with a name.

In the spring of 2018, in a season of feeling lost and searching for more, an old novel of the lost lands of Atlantis and Lemuria surfaced from a basement shelf. Halfway through, a thought arrived like lightning, felt in the very core of her being: become a silversmith. A day later, the story led its characters to shelter in a temple of healing sound. It was called the Temple of Enora. Somehow that was the name she had been looking for.

There was no craft yet, and no house. The name came first, and it did not feel like a choice. That summer was spent indoors, learning metal from nothing. The first pieces were wrapped in wire. By 2021 it had become a life’s work.

The magic of that book still runs beneath every collection: its temples, its sigils, its lost world.

Jaime Asaro

Founder and creative director

Jaime was a dancer from the age of two until twenty-one, and it shaped the way she sees the world: form, movement, the body as a language of its own. Dance was her art through the body. Now her art lives through her hands.

Photography was her first love after dance. It began at ten, with a disposable camera on the day her little sister was born, and the wonder of holding a moment still. She kept capturing moments for years before teaching herself the camera in full, from light and settings to the editing process, developing a style of her own. Today she photographs the work of the house herself. She also paints and sketches, purely for self-expression.

A self-taught metalsmith, she designs and makes every piece by hand, forging and smithing directly in metal, carving in wax, casting in sand, and setting each stone.

She is a devoted student of Hellenistic astrology, tarot, numerology, and the esoteric arts. She is also the founder of Sanctum Enora, a forthcoming sister house devoted to astrology, numerology and tarot.

Material

Precious metals and natural stones, worked by hand in Gloucester, Massachusetts. Some pieces are forged and smithed directly in metal. Others begin as wax, carved by hand and cast in sand. Every stone is set by hand, and scrap from the bench returns to the crucible.

Mythology

Each collection draws from the lore of the house, a world that began in Atlantis and lives on in the name of every piece. Some names come from ancient tongues. Others belong to the house alone.

Intention

Every piece carries the quiet energy of its making, and of a practice rooted in the stars, the cards, and the numbers. Adornment, talisman, heirloom: it becomes what its wearer makes it.

In the studio, Gloucester, Massachusetts.
